Dads Calendar

For the last 2 years whilst I have been out and about with mums diary, dads have walked up to me and say "what about dads". So, for 2015 we are bringing out a limited edition dads calendar. As some of you would know that I donate part proceeds to cancer council as this is close to my heart!

Gorgeous!

I was shopping this morning at my regular destination for an event I'm going to on Sunday. I'm at one of my favourite stores (emphasis on one), I really was not in the shopping mood per say but needed too. I tried a few things that where OK, and said to the girl that I will think. As I walked away she said "see you next time gorgeous"!!! Really...we are not even on a first name basis even though you served me the last time and she did not remember me today. I think she should of stopped at "see you next time" would of been suffice.
Basic customer service has gone out the door . X

Can't Sleep!!!!

I obviously can't sleep. I have got myself into a pattern of waking any time between 2am and 3am, and not getting back to sleep till 5am and up at 6.30am.
Over breakfast I was telling my Miss 13, and she simply said 'stop thinking'. Now in hind sight this is very true, but easier said then done.
Camomile tea perhaps!!! X

A Better Place a short Film

I had the pleasure of being asked to be apart of a short film to raise awareness on depression and anxiety, called 'A Better Place'. Three inspirational young Brisbane men directed and produced this awareness campaign. Wow...I have not blogged since last year!! My Bad!

I have been busy with the opening of my new business called Max n Boo. Max n Boo was always a web site, now we are a shop front as well in Nundah Brisbane. My Dads 2nd anniversary of his passing is later this month, and my dear friend Karen's 1st  year anniversary is the month after. There are times that I want to be angry at the both of them for not being here and not being able to see or talk to them. It's also seeing them both go from strength to weakness and trying to keep your own strength and not show your own weakness to them! The want and the desire just to have a moment with them, can be frustrating!

I can hear my dad saying "don't worry about me. Worry about your girls"! Even in my dads last hours of his life I'm sure he tried to shoo me home, but unfortunately for him I got to choose this time to spend his last night with him.  And Karen, I can always hear you, when I'm in trouble  you would of said "Claire Louise" and not in trouble it's "baby girl". I know your both in my heart and are looking out for me...I do just sometimes wish you were here! Xx
